Timelapse Test

I was able to do a pretty good battery test yesterday of some great clouds floating by. The battery made it about 4.25 hours on a full charge. I used the CHDK soft firmware on a Canon Powershot SD700. This is most likely going to be my setup for the bike tour to Erie.

I’ll post something up here once I get an actual on bike test time-lapse. It should be interesting.

The Action

I went out to train with other DICK’s employees at North Park the past two Saturdays. The first Saturday was a chilly 12 miles. Last Saturday was a much more commanding 26miles! I was pretty spent at the end of the ride though.

So as I promised here is the link for the map of the second days ride. It starts at Allegheny College and finishes in Conneaut, OH. The map I’ve created isn’t perfect. Especially since the second day is supposed to be 70 miles and I can’t seem to make it over 60. I’ll update it as I get better directions.

I also got my bike serviced by a very good bike tech at the Robinson store. So I’m looking forward to hitting the road this weekend and see if I can’t make it further than last week.

The Plan

Here is the map of Day 1 of the MS150 Bike Tour. It’s 80 miles of fun! Also, this was put together from last year’s tour cue sheet. So it may vary a bit this year depending on construction and road detours.

I will be putting up the “Century Option” and Day 2 maps soon.

The Century Option is for those crazy people that don’t think the 80 miles for day 1 is enough and want to ride for another 20 miles to get in a cool 100 miles on the first day.

I hope my legs don't fall off!

I just signed up for the bikeMS.org Escape to the Lake Bike Ride. 100 miles in two days from Traco in Cranberry, Twp to Erie, PA.

I’ve always wanted to do this ride from when I was young and now I have the chance. A link to my profile will be posted in a few days so that anyone can donate and track my progress.

I’ll be posting more on this craziness in the near future.
